Catholic-statues are valuable art objects, and have next to their artful presentation a lasting and an increasing value.

In a very special place we see the mother of God. We look at her in the Crib, we know her statue, when children are protectively wrapped under her cloak. But also the suffering Madonna and the Pieta is brought to visual life for us, by the superior skills of famous wood carvers.

Jesus, the Saviour, the Son of God, is depicted on the cross, on his Cross Way to Calvary and as the Risen Lord. We know his statue, as the Good Shepherd and in the Dolomites we find carvings of his Corpus - in natural wood or coloured by - what is called “Fassmaler”, - a skill that meets with the skill of the best wood carvers.

Saints are carved together with their attributes by famous wood carvers and are - like all statues carved out of the finest maple, walnut, linden or oak wood. Saint Joseph, a carpenter himself, became the Patron Saint of Families and of the Guild of Carpenters.

Without Catholic statues, this particular expression of Catholic faith, our world would be poorer, colder and emptier. Churches, houses without a family altar, Chapels without their saints, their angels and cherubs, we cannot imagine at all. There is hardly a room, a place or a location where Catholic statues do not change everything to the best.
